16th Annual Fashion Show & Chinese Auction
The Fashion Show will take place in May. Further details will be announced here shortly. In the interim, keep reading for some commonly asked questions about the fundraiser as well as contact information in case you have any additional queries for us!
What is the fashion show & fundraiser?
The first half of the event is a show where Creations students model their own outfits (no need to buy anything new) – costumes, dresses, sports uniforms – whatever strikes their fancy! The second part is a fabulous Chinese Auction that last year boasted more than 200 baskets. From kids toys, home goods and restaurant gift certificates to hi-def TVs, prime sporting tickets, gaming systems and overnight getaways.
Where do the proceeds go?
This event is a fundraiser whose proceeds go directly back into Creations to support the cultural arts programs and special events held for all our children throughout the school year (cupcakes, candies, cookies and gateway ALL benefit). The cultural arts program includes … French, theater, dance, fine arts, sciences, animal kingdom programs, all other in-school entertainment/programs and more!
How are funds raised?
There are three fundraising initiatives that begin shortly - corporate donations, local merchant donations and family donations. The money, goods and services from all these drives are then combined to create the Chinese Auction portion of our event! How can I get involved?
The fundraiser is run entirely by the voluntary efforts of the parents, grandparents, etc. of the students. You can be involved as much, or as little, as you want. Any help is appreciated and there are opportunities to fit any schedule! See the sign-up sheets posted at school or click on the ‘Volunteer Opportunities’ link to the left.
